TILTEX – Port de Bouc

TILTEX® 10 has been installed by the company TRAFOREX on a vast slope beside a railway SNCF on the Port de Bouc – Martigues junction (France, 13).

This slope has collapsed during the 2019 autumn heavy rains and needed to be protected against erosion and stabilized for a couple of years before important works.

TILTEX® 10 has been fixed by TRAFOREX team with Gripple Terralock® which have been calculated with Eurocode norms. The rolls were unrolled with a crane from the top of the slope and fixed with Terralock® anchors by people working roped up.

This solution has been chosen against classical solution with spray concrete as SNCFhas made a saving of more than 30% of the budget without any stop for trains.
